On August 31, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Yoshinori Fujiyama.

Muhammadiyev visited Estonia’s e-Governance Academy within the framework of the joint project of APA and UNDP Office in Uzbekistan “Improved Public Service Delivery and Enhanced Governance in Rural Uzbekistan”.

On September 2, 2019, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs, signed on September 13, 2018 in Tashkent during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan, entered into force.

On September 3, 2019, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Saleh Ahmad Al-Javarneh.

In accordance with the agreements of the heads of Uzbekistan and China, a delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister A. Aripov visited the PRC.

Uzbekistan has started celebrating the twenty-eighth anniversary of national independence. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has thus visited the Mustaqillik (Independence) Square in the heart of Tashkent and laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism, a symbol of our freedom, bright future and noble aspirations.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shahidlar Khotirasi (Memory of Victims) Alley in Tashkent in the early hours of August 31 and took part in the commemoration ceremony of repression victims.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has also visited the Mirzo Ulugbek Specialized State Secondary School in Tashkent.

As part of his trip around Tashkent today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the newly created Navruz Park.

On August 24-30, 2019, Turkmenistan hosted a regular meeting of the working groups of the Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, in Turkmenabad.

Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bahman Agharazi Dormani.
