Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Chairman of Korea – Uzbekistan Business Association (KUBA) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Kim Yong-ku. The parties discussed issues of enhancing interaction between businesspeople of the two countries.

During the visit of Uzbekistan Government delegation to Seoul, a meeting has been held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and the Chairman and President of Korea Eximbank Bang Moon-kyu.

The Fourth Meeting of the Working Group on Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO took place in Geneva on July 7, 2020, via videoconference. Uzbekistan delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea Hong Nam-ki on July 6, 2020. The sides considered the current economic cooperation between the two countries and identified further tasks for expanding bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on discussing the implementation of the banking system reform strategy, issues related to this area were discussed.

On July 6, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov, and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea, Sung Yun-mo, in Seoul. The parties discussed current trends in development of investment and trade-economic cooperation, as well as mechanisms for its further expansion.

On July 6, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov, discussed issues of financial and technical cooperation and its expansion in the near future with the President of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Lee Mi-kyung, in Seoul.

Within the framework of the visit of the government delegation of Uzbekistan to Seoul, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Kang Kyung-wha.

On July 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on implementation of the 2020-2025 Banking System Reform Strategy and acceleration of the process of transforming commercial banks with an eye to uplifting the private sector share in banking assets from 15 to 60 percent.
