On July 2, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to review the implementation of priority projects and prospects for expanding trade-economic, investment and financial-technical cooperation with Japan, the Republic of Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

On July 2, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks with OIC Assistant Secretary General Ahmed Ssenyomo, via videoconference.

An agreement on this was reached during a telephone conversation between the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev and the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Janat Beishenov.

The 86th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place on June 30, 2020, via videoconference. The agenda of the meeting included issues covering various areas of economic cooperation of CIS Member States.

On June 29 this year, the fourth meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Working with the World Trade Organization (WTO) was held via videoconference under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov. The event was also attended by members of the Negotiating Group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
