Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Serkan Kayalar.

Ankara, in partnership with the ECO Avrasya, with participation of representatives of the official, expert-analytical and business circles of Turkey, as well as the Uzbek diaspora, hosted Uzbekistan – Turkey business forum on “Economic diplomacy in a pandemic: experience of Turkey and Uzbekistan”. On July 21 this year, a joint meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for working with WTO and the Negotiating Group on accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the World Trade Organization was held via videoconference. Issues of economic reconstruction of Afghanistan, practical aspects of expanding cooperation in transport, energy, trade, agriculture, education and health were discussed during the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Economics of the format of trilateral cooperation “Uzbekistan – United States – Afghanistan”, held on July 21, 2020 under the chairmanship of the Uzbek side.

The second meeting of the subcommittee on cooperation in transport of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation has been held via videoconference.
