Bukhara hosted Uzbek-European silk forum and a show of national clothes made from natural silk.

Tashkent hosted a meeting of the leadership of “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association with the director and founder of N&H Japan Inc. company Tsutomu Nakagawa. This was reported by the Press Service of the Association. Issues of cooperation, including possibility of promoting finished textile products of Uzbekistan in the Japanese market through Japanese retail chain of casual clothing Uniqlo (Unique Clothing Warehouse) were discussed at the meeting.

The 8th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), under the theme “Linking Developed and Emerging Markets through Foreign Direct Investment: Partnerships for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development”, started yesterday in Dubai, UAE.

On April 10, a workshop on "Perspective directions of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh" was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

This year, 18 large projects are planned to be implemented with direct investments amounting to more than 211 million dollars, in Fergana region.
