On August 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired an expanded meeting of the Security Council on the main results of the country’s foreign policy and foreign economic activity and priorities for the future.

The session of Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Council of the Heads of State gave way to a ceremony of signing the documents.

The Bishkek Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization continued with an extended meeting of the heads of state. The talks were attended, along with leaders of member countries, also by chiefs of delegstions of observer nations and international organizations.

In accordance with the tradition established in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a concert has been organized in the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic for participants of the Bishkek Summit.

On June 6, Tashkent hosted the seventh meeting of the heads of border services of the competent authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.

On May 22, delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov attended the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in Bishkek.

Uzbekistan delegation led by Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev attended SCO – Afghanistan contact group meeting, in Bishkek.

The Public Diplomacy Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been established in Uzbekistan.

On January 15, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Jumahon Giyosov, who from January 1, in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, took office as the Director of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure in the city of Tashkent.

On January 1, 2019, in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, representative of the Republic of Tajikistan Jumahon Giyosov took office as the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, located in Tashkent city.
