On January 22 of the current year, the meeting of Odiljon Mamadaliyev - head of the Department of Information Dissemination, International Cooperation and Data Exchange with Charles Buxton - international expert within the framework of the evaluation of the Country programme of cooperation between UNICEF and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2016 – 2020 took place at the State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics.

The First Consumer Forum of Europe and Asia kicked off in Tashkent on January 15.

On January 14, 2020 the meeting of senior executives of the State committee on statistics with a World Bank mission led by William Hutchins Seitz (economist and task team leader) on preparing the research and rendering support in the implementation of the National Strategy for Development of Statistics, on systematic diagnosis of the country, as well as support in improving the statistical system of Uzbekistan took place in the State committee on statistics.

Tashkent hosted a festive event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defenders of the Motherland Day.
