On July 12, 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdujabar Abduvakhitov took part in consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states on the issues of SCO's international activities.

On July 8-9, 2018, the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, who paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, held meetings with the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the National Security Council Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Salahuddin Rabbani, former President of the IRA Hamid Karzai and other authoritative public and political figures of Afghanistan, in Kabul.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Uzbekistan Eduard Shapira visited Karakalpakstan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with numerous human casualties and injuries as a result of a train derailment in Tekirdag province, in Turkey.

On July 8, 2018, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is on a working visit to Afghanistan, at Arg palace.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe in connection with numerous human casualties and destruction caused by floods in central and southwestern Japan.

On July 2, a meeting with the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria led by the Chairperson of the Friendship Group Bulgaria – Uzbekistan Adlen Shukri Shevked was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

Regular negotiations of Working Groups of the Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on the Issues of Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were held in Turkmenistan from June 25 to July 1, 2018.

On June 27, 2018, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with prominent American public figure and scientist, Chairman of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute and a Research Professor at Johns Hopkins University Frederick Starr, who is in Uzbekistan with a group of authoritative international researchers. 

On June 25, 2018, a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand Hill Ian Alexander was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
