On November 22-23, 2018, Dushanbe hosted the 25th meeting of the Advisory Committee of the heads of legal services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On September 27-28, 2018, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CHS CIS) in the city of Dushanbe.

The second press tour for journalists of state news agencies of the CIS countries began in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is being attended by representatives of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia and Russia.

On December 26, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for the city of Moscow for attending the informal meeting of the Council of the Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On November 4, the 51st meeting of the Electric Power Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Tashkent. 

On November 3, the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekiston” in Tashkent. 

During negotiations of the CIS heads of governments in an expanded format, issues of further development and strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between the countries of the Commonwealth were discussed.

The 29th session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Tashkent.
