President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the military unit of the South-West Special District on the second day of his visit to Surkhandarya region, where he got acquainted with execution of tasks determined at the meeting of the Security Council in an enlarged format and held conversation with military personnel. According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev began his trip to Surkhandarya region with a visit to silkworm farm in “Inter Silk Pro” joint venture, in Termez district.

According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on January 19, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Surkhandarya region for getting acquainted with the progress of socio-economic reforms, the execution of previously defined tasks.

On January 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Surkhandarya region for getting acquainted with the progress of socio-economic reforms, construction and landscaping activities at places, as well as for conducting dialogue with people.

The visit of the delegation led by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein to our country, on May 10-12, 2017, raised cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN to a new level.
