According to the Press Service of the Head of the state, on January 31, 2018, an expanded meeting of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

On January 31, 2018, an expanded collegium meeting of the National Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan devoted to an analysis of implemented activities and measures on radically improving activities of the National Security Service was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Press Service of the President reports.

On January 30, the opening ceremony of the memorial complex, erected in honor of Islam Karimov, was held in the hometown of the great state and public figure, in Samarkand. 

Uzbekistan is widely celebrating the 80th anniversary of the First President of our country, an outstanding state and political figure, the great son of Uzbek people Islam Karimov’s birth.

A number of enterprises were commissioned in Kashkadarya region in 2017, including “LT Textile International” foreign enterprise in Karshi district and “Sulton Tex Group” private enterprise in the city of Karshi.
