On January 29, the Central Council of Uzbekistan Youth Union hosted a solemn ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the non-governmental non-profit organization World Youth Association of Uzbekistan and LLC Person Hunters.

On November 24, Uzbekistan will host one of the main Google Developers Group (GDG) events for developers – GDG DevFest for the first time. The event is organized by GDG Tashkent Group, Inha University in Tashkent and the Youth Union of Uzbekistan with the support of Google, the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the UNDP Office in Uzbekistan.

Republican working group led by the State Advisor on youth policy of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan Kahramon Kuronboyev has arrived in Karakalpakstan.

On June 11-13 Ms.Jayathma Wickramanayake, the UN Secretary General's Envoy on Youth visited Uzbekistan. As part of her visit the Envoy participated in the opening ceremony of the International Conference  on "The role of youth in preventing and countering violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism” organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the United Nations.
