Youth Festival in Samarkand

Participants of Uzbekistan – Russia Youth Festival visited Samarkand.
Youth from Russia got acquainted with historical-cultural monuments and tourism opportunities of Samarkand.
During the excursions, guests were informed about Khoja Daniyar worship place, Mirzo Ulugbek Observatory and Museum, Amir Temur Mausoleum. Historical exhibits in Mirzo Ulugbek Museum, data on Samarkand astronomical school, which was founded by great scientist-astronomer, aroused great interest among them.
Samarkand region’s deputy khokim R.Kobilov, Chairman of Khabarovsk regional branch of the Association of Students and Student Unions of Russia A.Nikonova noted that relations between youth of Uzbekistan and Russia are increasingly developing, which contributes to development of cooperation in different areas.
Acting Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan S.Akbarov, Director of Congressorg Business Development Group of Companies of Russia O.Almendeyev, scientists and specialists of tourism sphere discussed opportunities and potential for development of youth tourism in Uzbekistan, prospects of educational and medical tourism in Russia, objectives of tourism development in both countries.
Proposals and recommendations on expansion of youth tourism between Uzbekistan and Russia were introduced at the conference.
