On June 20, 2023, during the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Ecology, Environment and Climate Change A. Abdukhakimov to Berlin, a meeting was held with the Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS Convention) E. Frenkel.

Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, a videoconference meeting was held, where responsible officials of the Ministry, the Forestry Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as heads of state forestry in the regions took part.

Minister of Natural Resources Aziz Abdukhakimov met with the head of the UNESCO office in Tashkent Sara Noshadi.

As part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan on an official visit to the United States, Aziz Abdukhakimov met with Assistant Secretary General of the UN, Director of the Bureau for Europe and the CIS of the UN Development Program I. Živković and Director for Nature, Climate and Energy of UNDP P. Kurukulasuria.

As part of the official visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Switzerland, Lake Sudochye was included in the list of Ramsar wetlands of international importance.

The official opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State of Switzerland, Director of the Federal Department for Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications Christine Schneeberger, Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, Deputy Executive Director of the UN Environment Program Elisabeth Mrema. The executive secretary of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, Rolf Payet, delivered a welcoming speech.

The Ministry of Natural Resources hosted a meeting between the Minister of Natural Resources Aziz Abdukhakimov and the UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Olga Algayerova.

On April 12, 2023, the project "Global Framework Program - Supporting Early Actions" was launched in Tashkent.

The Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade hosted a meeting with Vice Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea Yoo Je-Chul to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the ecological sphere.
