On February 5, Uzbekistan 2035 International Forum kicked off at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This forum is devoted to discussion of key economic and political areas of the draft Strategy of Uzbekistan’s long-term development until 2035. It is attended by deputies, representatives of ministries and agencies, scientific-educational institutions, international organizations, members of “Buyuk kelajak” (Great future) expert council.
During the first plenary session of the forum, key directions of the draft Strategy Concept of Uzbekistan’s long-term development until 2035 were considered.
After the plenary session, forum participants divided into working groups in such strategy areas as development of public administration, agriculture and textile industry, banking system, industry, transport, construction and infrastructure, tourism, healthcare and social policy, human capital, environment, science, technology and innovation, continued discussions at panel sessions.
During the panel discussions of the forum, devoted to issues of ecology, science, technology and innovation, recommendations and proposals of the draft Concept Strategy of Uzbekistan’s long-term development concerning environment were actively discussed.
As it was noted, demographic and economic growth expected in Uzbekistan in the coming years, climate change will increase pressure on main natural resources. Particularly, the need for water, food, acreage and energy will grow.
Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Abduvakhidov addressed the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan 2035 International Forum.
