On June 6, 2018, Ukraine – Uzbekistan Economic Forum on "Ukraine and Uzbekistan: prospects of development of economic relations” will be held in Kiev on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine and the "Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce" Association (ICC Ukraine). 

The forum is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine, ICC Ukraine, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and LLC "Stanley Group" with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The forum organizers believe that the priority in cooperation should be given to development of relations in the most important areas of the economy such as production of agricultural products and its processing, production of soft drinks, cooperation in the oil and gas sector, energy, IT and telecommunications, electrical engineering, tourism, transport and logistics, food industry, textile, leather and footwear, mechanical engineering, aviation, chemical industry, construction, medical industry. In addition, according to ICC Ukraine experts, Ukraine – Uzbekistan cooperation opens opportunities for Ukrainian companies on development of economic relations not only with Central Asian countries, but also with other Asian countries, and for Uzbekistan – the possibility of establishing partnership in European countries. 

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, in addition to discussing cooperation issues in the above areas, it is planned to organize exhibition of Uzbekistan products within the framework of the forum. 

Issues of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Uzbekistan, promoting international trade, transport, logistics and investment will be discussed at the forum. 

In addition, B2B meetings will be organized between Ukraine and Uzbekistan’s representatives of business circles. An exhibition of Uzbekistan companies operating in pharmaceutical, agricultural and processing of agricultural products, textile, food production, shoe and leather, chemical and oil refining, mechanical engineering and aircraft industries will be held.
