On October 31, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on a significant date in the history of bilateral relations – the 20th anniversary of Eternal Friendship Treaty signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 24-30, 2018, Nukus hosted a regular meeting of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission working groups on delimitation and demarcation of the State border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

On October 26-27, 2018, delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatilla Ergashev attended the 7th International Conference on “Afghanistan crisis: causes and solutions”, which was held in Herat.
