The Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and partner organizations hosted an international forum on “Improving legal culture of women – an important factor in development of the country”.

Due to widespread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the world, Pilgrimage Tourism Week in Uzbekistan has been postponed. The event was scheduled for March 12-16, 2020 by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Second International Legal Forum “Tashkent Law Spring”, which was scheduled for April 23-25 this year, has been postponed.

Within the framework of implementation of previously adopted resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on modernization of the current biometric passport system, the resolution of the President was adopted on March 6, 2020 “On measures for implementing registration and issuance system of identification ID cards in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

A festive event on the occasion of International Women's Day continues in Tashkent.

Tashkent hosts a festive event on the occasion of March 8 – International Women's Day.

On the occasion of the International Women's Day, within the framework of the initiative expressed by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to pardon a group of convicted women sentenced imprisonment, working groups were created from among members of Presidential Commission on pardoning and representatives of other responsible agencies, which provided for studying personal affairs of convicted persons and conducting individual interviews with them with direct field visits.
