At the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, together with the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, creative trips of groups of famous artists and photographers of the two countries were organized in order to further develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and culture.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited historical monuments in the Ichan-Kala complex.

These findings became known during a business trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran of the First Deputy Director of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Tursunali Kuziev and the head of the Cultural Heritage Department of the Tashkent region Mansur Israilov with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Iran. 

The Lonely Planet edition included Uzbekistan in the list of countries worth visiting in May on a small budget, in the category "adventure trip".

On March 31, 2022, the First National Hospitality prize of Uzbekistan 2021  was held.
