Every vote is important
2016-12-04 | Elections
Ballot papers are being dropped into the ballot box one after another. Familiarized earlier with the biographies of the presidential candidates, students of the higher customs military institute of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan are exercising their constitutional right to vote in the elections. At the educational establishment, polling station No 580 was formed.
The presidential elections are the most important socio-political event in Uzbekistan in modern times. The future and further development of our homeland depends on voters’ activeness, political maturity and decision. Along with other voters, officers of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan are also casting their votes today.
At polling station No 580, voters’ lists were put up, and so were the procedure for and rules of voting. There are also collections on the country’s electoral law to raise the law culture and awareness of the students there. The candidates’ biographies and information about them are on a separate noticeboard.
“Elections are an inextricable factor in forming a law-governed democratic state and a strong civil society. Therefore, we, representatives of the younger generation, are actively taking part in voting,” says a student of the institute, F.Kurbonov.
