In all the regions of our country, the presidential elections are continuing at a high level. A two-times taekwondo champion of Asia and the world, a laureate of the Zulfiya state award and an Alisher Navoi state grant holder, Dilbar Holjigitova, has voted at polling station No 3 in the town of Gulistan.

“Today’s elections are of vital significance to the continuation of reforms started by the First President of Uzbekistan and directed towards building a law-governed democratic state, raising our country’s prestige in the international arena and providing care for young people. Every citizen’s vote is important for these purposes,” D.Holjigitova. 

She says: “Large-scale preparatory work was done for the elections. The necessary conditions were created at all the polling stations. We familiarized ourselves with the biographies and electoral programmes of the candidates. 

“Citizens, using their constitutional right, are deeply conscious that by participating in the presidential elections, they are voting for prosperous and happy living and a bright future. I have also participated in the elections and voted for the candidate of my choice.”
