Voting starts in Samarkand

The voting process has started at the 110th polling station in Samarkand as well in the statutory time and with the active participation of the population.
Chairwoman of the precinct electoral commission Nargiza Qobilova sealed the portable and stationary ballot boxes in front of observers from political parties, distributed the ballot papers and voters’ list to the members of the commission. The national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan played.
The beginning of voting process at the station was announced.
Residents of "Zulfiya", "Ilkhom" and "Istiklol" mahallas, intellectuals, veterans and the youth were among the first voters.
- When I received the invitation to the elections, we immediately decided that I would come to the polling station early in the morning and vote - says a resident of the "Ilhom" mahalla Shahlo Mamayusupova. - There were many people at the station, who also wanted to vote among the first. All voters vote for their candidates with excitement and joy. Among them, I voted in favor of the worthiest candidate, capable of ensuring the prosperity of the motherland, the peaceful life in the country and the welfare of our people.
2 thousand 887 voters are registered at the polling station. Of these, 57 boys and girls are participating in the election for the first time. It is expected that 46 people will vote at home due to health and other reasons. To this end, the Precinct Election Commission has taken appropriate actions.
The voting process goes on at all polling stations of the region.
