2016-08-31 | Economics

A presentation of the aircraft Boeing 787- Dreamliner took place at the Tashkent international airport.

President Islam Karimov in his New year’s address to the peoples of Uzbekiston informed that in 2016 fleet of the “Uzbekiston havo yo’llari” (Uzbekistan airways) national air company will be filled with two aircraft of new generation Boeing 787. The first of them has arrived to our country in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of our independence.

A solemn ceremony, dedicated to this event, took place at the Tashkent international airport. General director of the “Uzbekiston havo yo’llari” national air company Valeriy Tyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America in our country Pamela Spratlen and others noted that Uzbekistan has established a modern civil aviation with material-technical based and highly qualified specialists, aircraft fleet is constantly upgraded.

Uzbekistan has become a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) during the years of independence. Uzbekistan airways has its worthy place in the market of international air transportation.

The airports of our country have service facilities in line with international standards. The Urgench international airports has been acknowledged by the “Aeroport” civil aviation association as the best airport in 2015 and became a winner in the category “For huge contributions in tourism development”. Three airports in Uzbekistan won in different categories of the contest “Best airport in CIA countries” in 2013. For example, Bukhara airport, which handles passenger flow of one hundred to half a million, received the title “Sustainably developing airport”. Samarkand and Urgench airports won in the categories “For huge contributions in developing operations”.

Modern aircraft technics ensure safety, stability and frequency of flights. Uzbekistan airways have cooperated with the world-known Boeing Corporation. About 20 Boeing aircraft have been purchased so far by the national air company. Pilots and technical specialists undergo training at Boeing training centers.

Aircraft Boeing-787 “Dreamliner” has been created on the base of advanced manufacturing sciences. Completely new approach to design of passenger cabin provides maximum conveniences for passengers and flight crew, necessary for long-distance flights. Fuel efficiency of “Dreamliner” reaches 10% in comparison with Boeing-767, and per passenger – up to 20%. Due to increased flight speed it will be possible to fly from Tashkent to Moscow 10 minutes faster and to London and Paris 20-30 minutes faster. Its increased flight range enables to perform flights to the most distant points of the world. Aircraft consists of composite materials on 50% and aluminum – on 20%. External noise, made by aircraft, is in 2 times lower in comparison with previous aircraft models.

Cabin size and its comfort are also impressive. Internal diameter of cabin is 1 meter wider than on aircraft Boeing-767. Comfortable and wide seats, principally new floor covering, lighting and noise insulation enable to create more pleasant sensations from fly for passengers. Passenger cabin is equipped by air saturator, as well as individual display for each passenger, intended for entertainment and nicer pastime. Already in September air company will be able to perform flights on this aircraft “Dreamliner” (having capacity 246 passengers) from airports of Uzbekistan to any airports of USA and Canada, Far East, Asia, Africa and Australia. Air company’s fleet will be replenished by the second aircraft Boeing-787 Dreamliner soon.

Uzbekistan airways was the first company among CIS countries to sign a contract for delivery to two Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Aircraft was operated by flight crew of the National air company of Uzbekistan, consisting of the pilot-instructor Josef Zak, chief of new flight division “Boeing-787” Asadjon Tursunov and chief navigator of air company Stanislav Gurfinkel.

 - Thanks to constant attention and care of President Islam Karimov, our national air company has been achieving huge successes, - says Asadjon Tursunov. - Non-stop flight from Seattle to Tashkent with duration about 12 hours has been successfully performed. The new aircraft differs in efficiency, economy, ecological compatibility and comfort for passengers.

Deputy Prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan U.Rozukulov spoke at the event.
