On 14-16 September this year, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan.

By the program of the stay in the city of Samarkand, the bilateral events will be held at the highest level.

The issues of further strengthening the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership, and enhancing the multifaceted collaboration between the two countries will be considered during the talks.

Traditionally, the focus will be on the practical aspects of interaction, as well as the issues of promoting the joint projects, primarily in trade, investment, industrial cooperation, energy, transport, innovation, green and digital economy, and the programs in healthcare, education and culture.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and China will also exchange views on the current international and regional agenda. Following the meeting, it is planned to sign a Joint Statement and a solid package of agreements.

On 15-16 September, President of China Xi Jinping will attend the events of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
