2021-08-16 | Tech

On August 14, a working group led by adviser to the Prime Minister Olim Umarov visited the Almalyk mining and metallurgical plant.

The working group included the First Deputy Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications Oleg Pekos, the leadership of the e-Government Project Management Center and others.

It should be noted that digitalization of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is envisaged, including the development of proposals for the introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the logistics process.

At the meeting, a presentation was made on current and planned digitalization projects.

The working group also visited the technological transport department and the copper concentrator and directly observed the processes.

Almalyk MMC is the flagship of non-ferrous metallurgy in our country. It employs about 40,000 people.

Due to the huge volume of production, in order to increase the requirements for raw materials, technologies, personnel, as well as to improve the efficiency of work, the company is gradually moving to digital management of the economy and informatization of all business processes.

There are many benefits to going from paper to digital. Thanks to this, all business processes are electronically recorded, which ensures a high level of reliability and deep data analysis. Digital transformation of manufacturing increases competitiveness and sets a long-term perspective.

The company plans to create 11,000 new high-tech jobs. This will allow young people to master the professions of a geologist, engineer, technologist, designer, programmer, etc. In addition, along with the implementation of promising projects, opportunities for foreign investors will expand.
