Delegation consisting of Tracy Henderson and Seta Vandegrift, Advisors on Budget and Financial Accounting of the United States Treasury, visited the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and during the visit, a meeting was held to discuss the status of the project, which is being implemented under the technical assistance provided by the US Treasury, the prospects for future cooperation and the possibility of analyzing the financial impact.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahadbek Khaydarov, officials of the Ministry of State Budget and the Department of International Financial Relations. 

During the meeting, Ahadbek Khaydarov provided detailed information on the current status of the technical assistance project and its important role,  noting that the Uzbek side is very pleased with this technical assistance from the United States.

It was also noted that representatives of the US Treasury will organize meetings with relevant ministries and agencies, as well as special seminars to build the capacity of officials responsible for program budgeting.

At the end of the meeting, the sides discussed the next steps in the technical assistance project, as well as issues to be raised during the visit of Chief Advisor of the US Treasury Sheila Beckett and Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser Jennifer Lee Fox to Uzbekistan by the end of August this year.
