Uzbekistan, Russia Presidents hold a phone call

On July 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Issues of further strengthening Uzbekistan – Russia strategic partnership and alliance were discussed. The parties exchanged views on the current international agenda.
The leaders noted with satisfaction the current dynamics of the development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, primarily in the trade-economic sphere.
The Presidents focused on the situation in the Central Asian region in connection with the deterioration of the situation in the northern regions of Afghanistan. An agreement was reached to continue regular contacts and close interaction between the authorized agencies and organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia.
