The First deputy minister of Economic development and poverty reduction Ilkhom Norkulov met with a delegation led by the Executive partner of Pricewaterhouse&Coopers (PwC) for Eurasia Michael Ahern.

Michael Ahern noted the importance of studying the informal sector in the republic measuring the size of the shadow economy and the high experience of PwC in this regard. In turn, information on company's study of the shadow economy of Kyrgyzstan considered in details.

In order to obtain accurate statistical data on this issue, it is proposed to conduct a study of the situation in the regions of Uzbekistan in a “pilot” mode.

The parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of environmental, social and corporate governance. In particular, the guests were provided with information about the measures implemented by the ministry in this area. Hence, Michael Ahern expressed the readiness of PwC to assist in this direction.

Furthermore, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in discussed area.
