2021-01-19 | Tourism
Foreign adviser to the chairman of the State committee for tourism development Sodik Badak (Turkey) visited the Syrdarya region and Tashkent, where he met with business representatives in the tourism sector.
The open dialogue was attended by representatives of the tourism business - travel agencies, hotels, family guest houses, as well as advisers to the mayors of the city and the region for the development of tourism and sports, as well as relevant officials.
Foreign consultant Sodik Badak made a presentation on “Tourism policy and reforms in Uzbekistan in the post-pandemic period.”
“The current pandemic situation in the world will continue in the near future, and, according to the forecasts of the world community, 2021-2022 will also become a test period for the tourism industry. In this situation, the developing countries of the world, including Uzbekistan, have the opportunity to improve and develop their tourism infrastructure at the level of demand, taking advantage of the “stagnation” in the field of tourism around the world. In this regard, it should be noted that the Government of Uzbekistan has developed a special strategy “Tourism of Uzbekistan - 2035” to keep the tourism industry in a stable situation in the face of a complex pandemic and its further comprehensive development,” says Sodik Badak.
The event was rich in various proposals and lively discussions between organizers and participants.
