Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov met with Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich.  

The parties discussed issues of attracting tourists, as well as attracting Belarusian companies to build eco-houses in Uzbekistan, in particular in the Bustanlyk and Zaamin districts (Tashkent and Jizzakh regions).

As a result of the negotiations, an intergovernmental agreement is being developed between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus on the development of mutual tourism. This agreement is planned to be signed within the framework of the Intergovernmental commission, which will be held on December 16-18 this year.

The agreement will be aimed at mutual promotion of tourism potential, attracting tourists from Belarus to Uzbekistan and from Uzbekistan to Belarus. Special emphasis will be placed on the promotion of ski resorts in Uzbekistan, as well as projects related to investment in the tourism industry of Uzbekistan.
