2020-09-16 | Tourism

Henceforth, citizens of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons are registered into the automated information system "E-Mehmon" while using the services of accommodation facilities.

Registration of citizens arriving at hotels, medical institutions, sanatoriums, rest homes and other similar institutions in all regions of Uzbekistan, permanent and temporary registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons is carried out in accordance with the procedure approved by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution № 845 of October 22, 2018.

In accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 433 dated July 10, 2020 "On measures to create favorable conditions for the restoration and development of the tourism industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan", in order to improve the system for monitoring the movement of local and foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic, develop further plans based on the information received and implement them effectively, the above-mentioned procedures were amended accordingly.

Now people who have used the services of accommodation facilities, including citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons, must be registered in hotels, medical institutions, sanatoriums, rest homes and other institutions on the basis of identity documents, by the administration of these institutions by entering into the automated information system "E-Mehmon".

Registration is conducted not within 12 hours, as before, but at the time of their arrival, regardless of the length of stay and the frequency of their arrival. Managers of hotels, medical institutions, sanatoriums, rest homes and other organizations that provide accommodation services are asked to strictly follow this procedure.

The implementation of these procedures is aimed at ensuring the safety of health and property of local and foreign tourists, protecting their legitimate interests, and providing guaranteed services
