Uzbekistan, Israel discuss key areas of trade-economic cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel Eduard Shapira, who is completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
The issues of organizing Uzbekistan – Israel business forum with the prospect of holding it within the framework of the 1st meeting of Uzbekistan – Israel Intergovernmental Commission in Tel Aviv, scheduled for December this year, were discussed.
The parties also noted the significant potential for cooperation in cultural-humanitarian sphere, taking into account the exchange of experience in medical tourism and organization of joint events, festivals and tourism fairs in major cities of Uzbekistan as the epidemiological situation stabilizes.
Special attention was paid to measures for establishing interregional cooperation, in connection with which the possibilities for establishing twinning relations between the cities of Bukhara and Holon were discussed.
