On August 25, 2020, the opening ceremony of the virtual business forum “Made in Uzbekistan. Textile”, organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Nematov addressed the event. He noted the high level of Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan relations and the growing dynamics of economic interaction between the two countries. He expressed confidence that the virtual business forum will give an additional impetus to development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tamerlan Vahabov, noting the importance of further development of bilateral cooperation, emphasized that this business forum plays an important role in deepening interaction between manufacturers and buyers of the textile industry and contributes to increasing the volume of bilateral trade.
The business forum will continue its work on August 26-27 in the format of B2B meetings between representatives of the textile industry of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
