Uzbekistan’s Deputy FM holds talks with the UAE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

On August 25, 2020, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held talks with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, via videoconference.
Current issues of multifaceted bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment and other spheres were discussed during the conversation.
Views were exchanged on the timing of the upcoming joint events at various levels, including the next round of bilateral political consultations.
The importance of establishing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, exchange of best practices in lawmaking and parliamentary control was noted.
The parties considered the issues of social, legal and material support for our fellow citizens working in the UAE.
