Uzbekistan, Russia strengthen trade, economic, investment and industrial cooperation
On August 19 this year, within the framework of the visit of the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation A. Overchuk, in Moscow.
The parties discussed issues of trade-economic, investment and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The sides considered prospects for organizing mutual visits of the heads of ministries, agencies and regional administrations, as well as business representatives for developing new investment projects and concluding trade contracts as the epidemiological situation in Russia and Uzbekistan stabilizes.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on joint measures to promote bilateral cooperation in the near future, and identified specific measures for further interaction within the designated areas.
