Official Statement: 12 patients’ state is serious

Head of the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chief Sanitary Inspector of the country Nurmat Otabekov:
– The number of coronavirus infected in Uzbekistan has reached 2568 people. 2040 people have already recovered. This is 80 percent of total number of cases. 12 patients’ condition out of 518 being treated in clinics is serious.
More than 43 thousand citizens are under quarantine. Of these, more than 14 thousand people are home quarantined.
Quarantine measures continue. We must comply with established procedures. If the situation becomes more complicated, further quarantine restrictions may be more serious.
