National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the head of WHO Country Office in Uzbekistan Lianne Kuppens. The parties discussed the potential for developing cooperation.
As noted by Lianne Kuppens, the WHO Representative Office in Uzbekistan in its activity on supporting healthcare reforms aims at strengthening interaction with the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare.
According to Lianne Kuppens, since 2017, WHO experts, together with local experts, have been working on analyzing the situation in Uzbekistan’s healthcare sector.
Uzbekistan has developed a Healthcare System Development Concept for 2019-2025 together with WHO experts. Currently, the Ministry of Health of the country is developing normative legal acts to disclose each strategic direction stipulated by the concept.
Chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov noted that all legal acts related to healthcare are subject to expert assessment by specialists of this state structure.
Following the talks, the parties reached an agreement on permanent interaction, information exchange and inclusion of the National Chamber experts in projects supervised and promoted in Uzbekistan by the World Health Organization.
