New Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection Shavkat Abdurazzakov has met with journalists and bloggers.
It was noted that negative cases associated with cutting down trees have become more frequent, which affects the ecology and the environment. Answers were given to questions about activities being carried out by the committee to prevent such incidents.
The new head of the committee noted that he will begin work with an inventory of trees under state protection. Moreover, in the current year, state supervision signs will be installed near the trees in order to prevent their unreasonable and illegal logging.
