According to the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the competition started in September 2019 and will end in March 2020. At the current stage, an independent expert commission will evaluate teams that have passed the next stage. Winners will be defined by online voting.

 

Students from all higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, regardless of their specialization, could participate in mGovAward competition. To do this, it was necessary to create a team consisting of three or more people and apply on the official website of the competition, attaching a video and information revealing the essence of idea or describing the purpose of mobile application. Participants had to create an app in education, healthcare, tourism and culture, entrepreneurship, transport and logistics.

 

The prize fund is 100 thousand USD. This amount will be distributed among winners of the contest. The winner will receive 50 thousand USD, the second place holder will be allocated 30 thousand USD, and the third place will be awarded 20 thousand USD.

 

Winners will be awarded on March 14, 2020.
