On February 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Techno Park in Yashnabad district.
The Techno Park was created for efficient use of the vast territory and facilities of Tashkent Mechanical Plant. Relevant projects were presented to the Head of the state during a visit to this place on June 28 last year.
The Techno Park plans to put into operation 15 enterprises with a total cost of more than 393 million USD during 2020-2021. They will produce washing machines, stoves, refrigerators and freezers, industrial air conditioners, elevators and escalators, and other electrical products.
The Techno Park has necessary engineering-communication infrastructure. A logistics center will be created for convenience of entrepreneurs. The level of localization of manufactured products is expected to be 35-40 percent. It is planned to establish exports in the amount of 186 million USD a year.
The President got acquainted with activities of the first enterprise that was put into operation on the territory of the Techno Park – production of electronic gas meters, and also examined product samples.
The company, organized through 50 million USD investments, is able to produce 3 million meters per year. Smart meters are equipped with a SIM card slot and will send data on gas consumption to central server in real time. The billing system implemented using such counters will reduce human factor.
Meters are equipped with a regulator that normalizes gas pressure and thus increases safety, helping to prevent gas leaks and related consequences.
Today, there is a need for 3.5 million electronic gas meters in Uzbekistan. The company intends to cover this demand for one year of operation and starting next year to export products for 7.7 million USD. For this purpose, an agreement was signed with Italia’s Petro Fiorentini Company.
The Head of the state noted that the company should not be limited only to sale of meters, but also cover the entire process from their installation to maintenance.
“While starting production, we must first think about standards. Standard is required for qualified service and export. Unfortunately, we are far behind the world on this issue. There are not enough personnel at places who are able to work according to standard. Therefore, it is necessary to set up training of our own service specialists at industrial enterprises”, says the President.
Information was provided about the company’s service center.
