On February 5, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the head of the Representative Office of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Tashkent, Ali Ihsan Caglar, completing his mission in the country, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties highly appreciated the established level of interaction between Uzbekistan and TIKA, highlighted the spheres of healthcare and agriculture, as well as implementing programs for development of small and medium-sized business and advanced training of specialists in various fields. In particular, over the past three years, the agency has allocated about 30 million USD to support projects in Uzbekistan.
Particular attention was paid to the cultural and humanitarian aspect of cooperation.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for the personal contribution of the head of the Representative Office of TIKA to development of Uzbekistan – Turkey relations and wished him success in his future activity.
Ali Ihsan Caglar emphasized his sincere gratitude to the Uzbek side for comprehensive support of his activities as head of TIKA Representative Office in Tashkent.
