Meeting at the MFA

On January 31, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the parliamentary delegation led by the First Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag of the Kingdom of Sweden Åsa Lindestam.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations, political dialogue in both bilateral and multilateral formats, development of trade-economic and investment cooperation, interaction in education, training and other issues on Uzbekistan – Sweden agenda were discussed at the meeting.
The importance of developing mutually beneficial relations and building up constructive cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was noted.
In this context, the parties welcomed the successful results of joint business forum in Tashkent in 2019, as well as the resumption of inter-MFA political consultations after a long break to discuss prospects for further expansion of cooperation in various spheres.
