Uzbekistan, Korea develop digital economy

Tashkent hosted the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan – Korea e-Government and Digital Economy Cooperation Center.
The event was attended by a delegation led by Vice Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Jong-in.
The main task of the center is to develop strategic directions for development of e-government system in Uzbekistan based on analysis and research. The center's activities also include improving the digital economy, conducting marketing and innovative research aimed at improving the quality of public services and creating comfortable conditions for development of entrepreneurship in e-commerce.
The event also included a meeting of members of Uzbekistan – Korea e-Government Cooperation Council.
Plans for the introduction of modern information technologies, creation of training programs and exchange of experience, development of cooperation for joint researches were outlined at the meeting.
