On January 28, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, in Berlin.
Highly appreciating the results of the Second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States, held on November 29, 2019 in Tashkent, the parties discussed issues of interaction on implementation of decisions adopted following the summit and aimed at further deepening regional integration.
The parties stated their mutual interest in further strengthening good-neighborly and friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, an important stage of which should become the planned visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan.
Foreign Ministers of the two countries also discussed issues of holding a 5+1 meeting of Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and the United States in Tashkent on February 3, as well as other aspects of the current agenda of bilateral and international relations.
