On January 27, 2020, Uzbekistan delegation attended the annual meeting of German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses, to which Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov was invited as an honorary guest, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft, BVMW) was founded in 1975 and is an Inter-Industry Association representing the interests of German small and medium-sized businesses. Currently, BVMW has more than 270 thousand members and more than 300 representative offices in Germany and about 30 abroad.
The annual meeting of the Association was attended by representatives of federal and state governments of Germany, as well as heads of more than 1000 German small and medium-sized enterprises, representatives of scientific and expert-analytical circles.
Head of Uzbekistan delegation met with Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany Peter Altmaier, Prime Minister of Bavaria Markus Zeder, Vice-President of the German Bundestag Hans-Peter Friedrich and President of BVMW Mario Ohoven, during which views were exchanged on the current state and priority areas of development of bilateral cooperation and current issues on the international agenda.
