Meeting with Vatican Ambassador

On January 22, 2020, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (Apostolic Nuncio) of Vatican with the residence in Moscow, Archbishop Celestino Migliore, completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties exchanged views on the state of bilateral relations in various fields, discussed prospects for development of interaction, organization of contacts at the highest level.
The Ambassador praised that one of the priorities in the domestic policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan is to ensure interethnic harmony and religious tolerance in the country.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his personal efforts aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
