The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation led by the international observer, Deputy Speaker of Dewan Rakyat of Malaysia Mohd Rashid bin Hasnon.
The sides exchanged views on the elections to the Legislative Сhamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People's Deputies held on December 22.
Members of the Malaysian Parliament noted that the elections were held at a high organizational level and in accordance with the principles of openness, transparency and equality. The introduction of a single electronic voter list was one of the positive details of the political event. It was offered to consider possibilities of wider and effective use of modern information technologies in the following elections.

The next meeting at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was organized with the Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Mohammad Reza Majidi.
Reforms carried out on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev were highly appreciated at the meeting with the Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments and Tourism Alisher Kurmanov. A completely new form and content of the current elections in Uzbekistan were noted, which will serve as an experience for many Asian countries.

Members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis also met with members of the Parliament of Georgia.
The sides exchanged views on the elections held in Uzbekistan and prospects for development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
Discussing the elections, members of the Georgian Parliament noted that at all stages of voting there was a high level of activity of citizens.

Members of the Senate met with the international observer – head of Department for South and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Mohammad Azhar bin Mazlan.
Preparations for the elections, which were held at a high organizational level were noted at the meeting. The parties discussed the prospects for development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The parties noted that this political event was held in full accordance with democratic principles, which will further strengthen the positive image of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
