U.S. Ambassador visits Navoi region

The trip of the U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Daniel Rosenblum to Navoi region began with an introduction to the activities of Navoi Free Economic Zone.
The Ambassador also met with the khokim of Navoi region K. Tursunov.
The khokim of the region informed the guest about the economic potential of the region, its rich history. K. Tursunov told the Ambassador about the thorough preparation for an important political event in Uzbekistan – the elections under the motto “New Uzbekistan – New Elections”.
The khokim of the region noted that the merit of the ambassadors is important in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Daniel Rosenblum met with Director General of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Complex K. Sanakulov. He also got acquainted with the activities of Navoi Regional Department of the Central Election Commission and Navoi Regional Department of the International Press Center.
The guest got acquainted with the ancient Sarmishsay gorge in Navbakhor district of Navoi region and the petroglyphs on the stone rocks in this territory.
