It was attended by delegations led by heads of customs services of Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

 

At the opening ceremony of the meeting, the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Azimov informed about the reforms carried out in the country under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to further improve the customs sphere, expand international cooperation, their importance in development of trade and economic ties with neighbors and distant countries.

 

Proposals and initiatives aimed at further strengthening international cooperation in various areas of customs sphere were discussed at the meeting.

 

Agreements were signed between the customs authorities of the CIS member states on the procedure for the mutual provision of seals and stamps of customs authorities, which are put on transport and commercial documents, a technological instruction for cooperation between customs authorities and railway carriers on implementation of customs control of goods transported by rail.

 

Bilateral meetings were also organized within the framework of Tashkent meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member states.

 

A protocol was approved between the customs services of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on establishing the exchange of information on goods and vehicles transported across customs borders, technical conditions on mutual exchange of information on goods and vehicles transported across customs borders were approved between the customs services of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and customs services of Uzbekistan and Russia approved additions and changes to the agreement on the mutual exchange of information on transported goods and vehicles across customs borders. A cooperation plan for training and advanced training of personnel in 2020-2025 was approved between Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Russian Customs Academy of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation.

 

A number of members of local and foreign delegations were awarded commemorative badges established in connection with the 70th anniversary of the council for their contribution to development of international cooperation in customs sphere.
