The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, jointly with the German Government represented by the KfW Development Bank, is planning to launch the “Financial Sector Program MSME Financing” in the second half of 2020.

The main objective of the Program is to increase the sustainable supply of medium- and long-term loans to MSMEs in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In addition, the Program shall contribute to capacity building in participating financial institutions, increased market integration of enterprises and strengthening value chains.

The Financial Sector Program envisages the credit line and technical assistance components to partner financial institutions (PFI) selected in accordance with the criteria of the Program.

At present, on behalf of KfW, the Consultant, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, is conducting a preliminary study to develop the Program and identify potential participating partner institutions.
